This colorful art print: GRACE, is part of Project 2020 (2012-2015), an optimistic social art project by Sarit Rotman. Project 2020 aims to eliminate shame and provide hope and support to women dealing with eating disorders: anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, or Binge eating disorder.
Each participant completed a personal questionnaire, which Sarit used to create unique paintings that reflected the participant’s vision and hopes for 2020.
These figurative works of art, rich in colors and symbols, combine elements of expressionist art to convey deep feelings and personal identity. The symbolic art within each painting is a tool for healing and inspiration. The project was shown in various exhibitions and was well received by the general public as well as art and mental health professionals. Project 2020 emphasized the power of art to foster healing and positive change.
