Project 2020 | Solo Exhibition
Azul Gallery, Tel Aviv, Israel, 2016
Curator: Hanita Elitzur. The “Project 2020” solo exhibition by Sarit Rotman is a social art venture offering hope to women dealing with eating disorders. Inspired by Sarit’s personal experiences, the project features 11 paintings, each developed from interviews with women facing anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive eating. The figurative and symbolic works emphasize personal growth and healing art, aiming to raise awareness and foster emotional recovery. First introduced in 2016, the exhibition gained attention for its emotional depth and contribution to optimistic art and personal transformation.
Project 2020 is an optimistic social art project. The project began in 2012 and continued until 2015. The project was inspired by my personal and optimistic journey to overcome a 16-year struggle with an eating disorder.
