“Her eating disorders began at a very young age, around first grade. As a young child, she went through a very difficult trauma and used food as an escape, where she had full control. The fat protected her.
At home, her parents used to hide all the candies and the moment she was alone, she was looking at the forbidden food and ate and ate.
Even when she was full, she kept on eating. At home, they didn’t take her situation seriously, even when she was gaining more and more weight. She tried to fight herself, but it always ended in defeat…”
